THE MULANJE MASSIF
The Mulanje Massif is a huge, isolated block of mountain of more than 245 square miles(640sq km). It is situated in the southern corner of Malawi. Close to Mozambique border. The Massif, commonly referred to as Mulanje Mountain.
Mulanje offers a wide scope of activities. It is mountain walker, casual climber, rambler and nature lover that Mulanje has most to offer.
ITINERARY:
Day 1: Lujeri Shed 3 to Minunu Hut (3-4 hours) Day 2: Minunu Hut to Chagaru peak and Chinzama Hut (6 hours) Day 3: Chinzama Hut to Chinzama Peak and Madzeka Hut (6 hours) Day 4: Madzeka Hut via Mbiya Pools to Lujeri Shed (3-4 hours)
Difficulty (1-5): 3 Distance: 36 km Height gained: 2,500 metres

- I work under Ministry of Tourism as a guide in Malawi government rules.
- Group of people more than 10 people will be guided with 2 guides the guiding fee will also be double.
- The best time to hike is from April to November, sometimes it is possible to hike in the rainy season but not recommended.
- Travelers must have to buy their own food before the hike because no shops on the mountain.
- When the Guide or porter does a good service it is recommended to each and every traveler to provide tips to them at the end of the trip/tour.

The booking fee (from $23.10 p.p. included in the displayed price) is non-refundable if you cancel your booking. If a local cancels a booking or does not show up at the agreed time and place, you receive a full refund of the booking fee.

Meet the Local
I am Cristopher a Malawian professional and registered tour guide of Mount Mulanje. Together with other guides of Mount Mulanje we run an unregistered charitable group called Likhubula Charitable Group which sometimes provides basic care to vulnerable people who have nobody to support them like elderly people and the needy. On my localme account you can find several hikes to Mount Mulanke (1,2,3 and 7 days), as well as daily walks (Village Tours) through the activities we have in our community like traditional dances and other culture, sports and swimming natural pools(water Falls) and tea plantation.
